Smart Energy Decisions Opens Nominations for 2024 WISE Awards Celebrating Women in Smart Energy

PORTLAND, Maine, October 24, 2023: Smart Energy Decisions (SED),the first web-based resource dedicated to addressing the information needs of large power customers, today announced that nominations are open for its third-annual WISE Awards.

Dedicated to recognizing the significant contributions and achievements of women in the field of energy and sustainability, the awards program also showcases their role in advancing the energy transition. A celebration of the 2024 WISE winners will be hosted February 28 at Net Zero Forum Spring, inspiring and encouraging others to continue contributing their time, energy, and talents to communities and companies seeking solutions to energy challenges.

“We’re proud to continue these awards for a third year,” said Debra Chanil, Director of Editorial and Research, at Smart Energy Decisions. “Great work is being developed and driven by women in the fields of energy and sustainability. These efforts deserve to be seen and celebrated in their own right but also as examples to women entering the field and currently working within the industry.”

All persons who identify as women and represent large electric power users from commercial, industrial, institutional (including higher education, K-12, and healthcare), and government organizations may be nominated by their coworkers, peers at other organizations, or supplier partners. These persons may also nominate themselves.

Nominations will be accepted through November 17, 2023. Winners will be notified in early January 2024.
