Circularity is a term that applies to many businesses’ sustainability actions and has significant energy implications to industry and manufacturing. From waste-to-energy installations to designing products for end-of-life considerations, and utilizing circular energy sources, injecting circularity principles can improve companies’ efforts to become more sustainable, reduce costs, and meet aggressive climate goals.
The US Circular Economy Coalition was established to educate the U.S. government on industrial circularity and to seek incentives for businesses that employ circularity practices.
The session will cover:
1. What is circularity and how can it be implemented from conception to end-of-life?
2. Why is circularity gaining momentum in U.S. and global sustainability policy?
3. Case studies from Reworld and Cemex that highlight sustainable energy practices that utilize the principles of a circular economy.
