Jasmine Jain is an Environmental Services Specialist working for San Jose’s Climate Smart Division within the Environmental Services Department. She was previously working on the team as a fellow as part of the California Climate Action Corps program and transitioned into her permanent role about 9 months ago. Jasmine received her bachelor’s degree from Boston College in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Justice and Policy.
Her passion for environmental justice has allowed her to prioritize equity in the community engagement and educational work she leads in San Jose. For example, she led the language accessibility efforts of the 2024 Home Electrification Webinar Series, equitably promoting the City’s carbon reduction goals and providing San Jose’s diverse population with the knowledge and resources to advance the energy transition residentially.
