As a driving force behind General Motors’ energy strategy, Krysten Cruz serves as an Energy Procurement & Regulatory Lead. In this role, she strategically sources reliable and cost-effective energy including electricity, natural gas, water, and renewables for several Midwest facilities. She also engages on energy policy efforts with key advocacy groups. Krysten kicked off her career at DTE Energy in Detroit, diving into everything from advanced metering infrastructure to demand-side management. In 2016, she made the sunny leap to Florida Power & Light Company, tackling regulatory filings and rate cases. Krysten holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wayne State University. When she’s not busy energizing GM, she’s likely with lovable golden retrievers through her volunteer work.
