Miranda Gardiner

In 2023, Miranda Gardiner assumed the leadership of the iMasons Climate Accord (ICA) — a groundbreaking non-profit, focused on emissions reductions and sustainability in data centers. Under her visionary guidance, it has emerged as the premier, collaborative arena for digital infrastructure committed to achieving ambitious climate goals. She has united some of the largest and most influential companies (such as Google, Meta, AWS, and Microsoft) in the world in driving transformative initiatives.

In addition to these initiatives, Miranda has grown the ICA to almost 300 member companies with a combined market cap of over $8T – a considerable achievement toward driving sustainable purchasing throughout the tech industry. More than 30% of these companies are represented on the various technical committees in the organization, to ensure a “by the members, for the members” approach. Centerer around the 3 focus areas of the ICA — Power, Equipment, and Materials – these experts have developed the ICA Maturity Model and supplementary case studies to address critical topics, like nuclear energy’s role in a just energy transition to carbon-free power.

Miranda’s leadership is marked by an unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration and facilitating progress, ensuring both the organization and its members are at the forefront of developing and implementing sustainable practices. To educate a broader market, Miranda has presented at global conferences and events, like Climate Week NYC and Datacloud Global Congress, and contributed to publications like PERE (Private Equity Real Estate)’s 2024 Data Centers Report.

Miranda holds a BA from Georgetown University and M.Arch from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Extension School. In 2020, the US Green Building Council recognized her as a LEED Fellow, due to her leadership, advocacy, and impactful commitment to green buildings and sustainability.
